Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.
Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?
What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?
I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.
Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them. Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”
Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.
(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

I am 64 yrs. old, 5′ 9″ and 180 lbs. Need to lose the spare tire and get back in shape; but, have very little discipline. Would like to just establish a regular schedule of exercising and controlling the sweets over the next 16 weeks.

hello Mia, I feel you on the age and weight struggle. I turned 41 this year and my husband and I have a 6 year old, 18, 22, and 21! I too cannot seem to shake this excess weight. It is really starting to scare me because I know as the age continues to creep up, so will the weight! Good luck on your journey!
My 16 week plan, starting from tonight is to eat better and exercise more. I used to enjoy execise/training with weights but lost the plot a couple of years ago. I want that spark back and to feel better about myself. Gaining muscle and increasing size (except around the waist) would be good, who knows I might get to tke my shirt off in the sun this summer.
Hi Joel, I’m female, 44 years old, 5’9″ and 268lbs. My long term goal is to get healthy by losing body fat and gaining muscle. I have been going to the gym faithfully since mid-January (have already lost 40lbs) and am targeting 18% body fat as a preliminary goal for end December. I’ve been trying to eat as clean as possible and already feel MUCH better.
40 years old, always been active and know the importance of weight training. Since having my 2nd child 2 years ago, can’t seem to get my body fat below 28%. Happy with my upper body tone/definition but just about given up on my lower body! You’d never catch me in a short shirt/shorts. Need to sort my eating program out without making my hubby feeling as though we not enjoying meals together.
Hey Joel! I’m a 48 year old female & I’ve lost nearly 70 pounds in the last year by changing my negative attitude & finally believing in myself. I’m eating much healthier & I finally got up off the couch & moved my body. I would still like to lose another 30 pounds, increase my lean muscle mass & tone up. My current body fat is at 25% & I would love to see that # go down. My stomach is my “biggest” problem right now! Gotta lose it!
My goal is similar to others. I am 5’11” 192 lbs and want to get my waist back down to 31.5″ from 33″ and maintain my weight. Currently my bf is 12%. and I’d like to see it back down to 8% which is where my abs and definition is much better. I wouldn’t mind adding some muscle mass to my upper body, but I’d rather be lean first. I am setting a 12 week goal to make the change. My legs grow quickly without much work, but my upper body grows slowly.
i’m 21, 6’10 around 111kg’s @ 14% bodyfat atm. i’ve been on the verge of making a career out of basketball for a couple years. however i’ve always been really overweight (as high as 160kgs) and my body can’t handle it (left ankle surgery then the right 1 a couple years later.) i’ve lost 24kgs in the last 6 months.
in the next 16 weeks i want to get between 8-10% and then start to build a powerful physique while maintaining a low amount of fat to give me the best chance of getting somewhere. i’ve come this far and i’m confident i can finish the job.
good luck to every1 that posts here. there is literally no downside to what your trying to achieve!!
i am 16/18 percent bodyfat and i would like to be 12/14 percent… i have enough muscle for my frame, so i will be focusing on fat loss :)
I’m finally getting my breasts back. I go in for implant surgery next Friday. I believe I will again like my body and hope to start treating it with respect like I used to. Losing 15 to 20 pounds would make this transformation complete. I just wonder if I can get back to a healthy way of eating. I still have the exercise routine down it’s just giving up (or even modifying) my favorite foods is a real challange. I love sweets and could care less if I ever eat real food again. Ice cream, brownies, cake with home-made cream cheese frosting is what I’m addicted to. Any advice…….
im shawanee and im 15 years old, my goal for the next 16 weeks is to get stronger, and lose my extra flab. by getting “stronger”, i mean i want to lift more weight in my sandbag stuff, the sandbag is definatly a very powerful tool and i recommend it. and by lose flab i mean just lose flab haha

My goal is to continue on a healthy path while losing 22 lbs and toning up my once, very lean figure. I was in a bikini after baby #2 so now after baby #4, it is my goal once again. I never thought I was an athlete but I’m now searching for that inner-athlete and am excited about finding it!
Good AM to Everyone! Female here, 50 years young, 5’3″, 176 lbs (feel the extra weight and certainly see it). I would like to lose 50 lbs, and drop 2-3 dress/pant sizes, have energy and above all, feel healthy and strong. 16 weeks sounds like a good starting goal time wise. The weight didn’t come on fast and it won’t come on fast, so long as it comes off and it’s steady weight loss.
I’m 51 and want to lose 10lbs I’m 6’1″ and 200lbs. Just having a hard time losing the belly fat.
For my next 10 weeks, really i started 6 weeks ago towards this goal, am looking to gain 5 inches on my vertical jump, taking it upto 32inches.
Currently i am 210lbs at 6’3″. To accomplish this i am focusing on strength and explosiveness.
That is all right now.
Have put 30lbs on over the last year or so, another 15 is going to be the next hurdle.
I plan is to eat better and begin a daily 10-minute turbulent training exercise routine. My goal is to lose some belly fat and firm up all over. Weight loss isn’t my goal; muscle gain is.
I have Your Cheat Your Way Thin Program and I want to lose 20lbs to get to my ideal weight based upon what is normal BMI – Right now, I am sitting at overweight level. Too bad I did not know about your program when I was 50 lbs overweight. It would have made life easier on me with eating, but better late than never. Also I was a size 18-20 and now 12 and want to get down to a size 6 or 8. I want to be able to go to parties and eat the foods I like and not be in fear all the time of gaining weight – this assuming I eat well at the parties or use it as my cheat day

Hey, it’s Joel! So you want to know a little more about me, huh? Well, I’d be happy to oblige :-)
I guess it all started back in 2001 (my freshman year of college) when I was just a “skinny fat” 19-year old kid. At the time, I was spending close to 2 hours a day in the gym (now my workouts last about 30 minutes), and despite my efforts, you’d probably never guess I worked out a day in my life by looking at me...
