What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

I am middle age girl. Had back problem (cyst on spine), in follow up therapy, including machines and deep water exercise. Before back issue, I was a walker. Getting better, but now I have numb foot from nerve damage, and can’t walk as far. Since then, I put on 40 lbs (mostly from comfort eating to relieve shock and disbelief!), but have taken off nearly 20. Now I have great legs, and stronger core than even before, but my middle isn’t responding. Trying to drop waistline from 40″ to 35″ on advice from doctor, to increase heart health. And of course, get rid of that last 20! (or maybe 30..) Very hard! Resolve to eat more veggies and do more cardio (recumbent bike)! Also want better shoulder and arm definition.

I have a question for you – I don’t want big muscle, just lean and toned muscle. Is it better to up weights on 3 sets or keep same weight and up sets?

Anyone have advice?

My current stats are 27 y/o male 5’8″ and 157 lbs. I want to continue to develop lean muscle and shed a little more bodyfat. My weight should stay about the same while my body composition improves.

I am 5′ 10″ and weigh 227 lbs. In the next 16 weeks I want to loose 50 lbs of fat and gain muscle. I have a plan to boost the fat loss, one that worked for me already this year (I lost 50 lbs, 47 lbs of it was fat, in 40 days). Since I have built some muscle since then I expect even better results this time. The two biggest issues I have are 1) getting myself into a good, healthy, sustainable workout routine and 2) I recently had a shock when I found out how very far my portions were off (I had a 2,100 calorie late night snack).

My goal for the 16 week time frame is to become more lean. I am no stranger to the gym, and I feel good about my body but I really want to get serious and make some changes. I am currently 117 and my goal is to lose 7 pounds, not water weight but my goal is to lose fat. My current body fat is 19.5%, I would love to see it lower, 17% is what I am aiming for. I want to have a killer beach bod this year!! Its my New years resolution :)

Over the past 16 weeks I have lost 12lbs by taking your diet and exercise tips.My original goal was to lose 20 lbs in 24 weeks.Unfortunately I have a calf muscle strain at the moment so running is not an option.I am continuing to train on everything else three times a week.I am happy with my chest and legs but I still have some belly fat to burn.Any ideas and suggestions would be much appreciated.

I am 65 years old and want to lose 15 pounds in the next 16 weeks. I do a half hour of eliptical jogging (knees can’t take running outside, besides it’s 25 degrees out there……….brrrrrrrrrr) plus once a week I swim a mile +. I am working on reducing my sugar and white stuff intake and need to reduce fruit intake from 5 to 3 per day. Any other suggestions.

First, let me say that since I started on 2/17/2011 until today 12/8/2010 I have gone from 220 lbs & BMI > 30 = “clinically obese” to 175 lbs. & BMI < 25 = "normal". I am proud of these results and am excited about leaving on an organized family trip to Kauai, Hawaii tomorrow — sweet! Time to celebrate!
After that my goal for the next 16 weeks — actually more like 12-13 weeks or so — will be to get that "six pack". My next family vacation is planned for "Spring Break" in Orlando, FL starting 4/1/2011. Right now I am 19.5% bodyfat. I want to get that to at least 11% bodyfat, and a few additional pounds of lean muscle mass certainly would not hurt. I will be "kicking off" on 1/2/2011 with the 12 week CYWT program diet, and will be coupling it with the 1000 calorie challenge workouts. In the mean time, just trying to "maintain" through my vacation and the Holidays. Wishing everyone Happy Holidays and much success in reaching your individual goals. Joel's programs absolutely rock, and I am living proof that they can work wonders for you too!

That will be my 45th birthday and I’d like to be down to 115-120 with bodyfat % in the low 20s. I’d like to have strong, lean muscles and be able to run a 5K without stopping and plan to do a 10K in the spring/summer.

I’m 56. 6 feet tall. On April 26 I weighed 280 lbs. Last Monday I weighed in at 199 lbs so I’ve lost 81 lbs towards my ultimate goal of 100 lbs. During the next 16 weeks I plan to lose those remaining 19 lbs, continue to swim every morning with my swim club – 3,000 yards per day – and start on a weight training program to tone myself in places that need it.

My name is Gordon. I am 61 years old and since retiring from the USAF 18 years ago I have gradually added on 56 pounds to a weight of 336 pounds. My goal for the next 16 weeks is to lose at least 48 pounds and to get in much better physical shape. I’m beginning to feel my years and want to feel much younger.

My goal is to drop 10lbs of body fat before Christmas – clothes are getting tighter and it is time I stopped. That’s why I bought the Xtreme Fat Loss programme. After that I’d like continue til I get down to 10 stone – loosing tummy fat would be great coz at 5ft 2inches it really is ballooning. So here’s to the first 10lbs may there be many more!!

I am going to lose 15 lbs. of fat and gain 10 lbs. of muscle. This may not sound like a huge goal, but I run a General Contracting Company (mine) and have a wife and 11 beautiful children to raise ranging from 18 years old to 1 year old. Workout time is minimal and a gym is definitely out of the question. However, as an Army veteran I now how to work out without a gym. See you in 16 weeks.

My goal is to lose 80 lbs of fat and add a minimum 20 lbs of lean muscle in the next 16 weeks. Since I started “Cheat Your Way Thin” I have dropped 10 lbs. My goal is to work smart so that I convert some of that fat to fat-burning muscle.

I need to lose a solid 20 pounds of fat an maintain my current muscle conditioning. I’ve recently taken up kettle bells which has done wonders to build my muscle mass, however I’m still struggling to reduce my fat margins. I’ve just started on a new eating plan last week. My goal is to achieve 20% body fat in the next 16 weeks just in time for my girlfriends wedding in Mexico!
