What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

I am a 27 year old female getting married this coming August. I am 5’3″, weigh 134 and am a size 6. Three months ago I was a size 8 and weighted about 142 pounds. So I’m hoping that in the next 3-4 months I can drop down to a size 4. My achievements in the last few months can mostly be attributed to changes in diet, so my goal is to increase my fitness level in addition to keeping solid eating habits…I also want to focus more on yoga and meditation to help keep me focused and on track

I want to lose body fat, gain muscle. In 16 weeks I would like to lose 30 lbs. This will be about half of my goal.

By April I want to have lost 30 lbs and to have reduced my middriff to be almost flat.

I need to loose 50 pounds, but a realistic goal for me would be 10 pounds in the 16 week time period. I have been building muscle and changing shapes, but need to loose the belly fat that seems to want to stick to me!

My goal in the next 16 week is to lose 20-25 pounds and reduces my body fat by 5%. In order to reach my goals I am working out diligently 5 times a week.

I’ve lost about 15lbs already and now my goal is to lose the remaining 10-15lbs so I can finally get the six pack abs for the first time in my life…..I’m 45 yrs old.

December 8, 2010 my goal for April 8, 2011 is to have a bodyfat %age of 27%.

I will be 60 by that time. I started in January of 2010– weighing in at a hefty 199.5 (body fat percentage of almost 45%). I am now at 141, and it is wonderful in that nothing hurts, knees, elbows.. nothing hurts, but my body fat is still hovering around the 30% range. I want to work on lowering the body fat. I have a lot of skin to tone-up, but otherwise am happy.

I am 60 lbs overweight. My 16 week goal is to lose 30 lbs fat, log 300 miles, run continuously for 30 minutes and start using those weights.

I am 43 years old and desire to lose 25 pounds and two dress sizes over the next sixteen weeks. I would also like to see my resting heart rate reduced to no more than 80, and be able to keep up with my kids on long walks.

I’m 35. Been weight training since I was about 16. I’ve been very lean, very muscular, a bit of everything really. I’m 5’9″ and 200lbs right now, still quite muscular (although I’m not sure I can put up a 300lbs bench any more, and quite frankly, don’t want to), but have what I call “the last 10 pounds” to lose, mostly in my stomach area. I don’t consider myself fat, but you can’t quite see my six pack yet, but I’m close. What I want is the 6 pack. I willing to give up a little bit of muscle in order to lose the fat. Currently, I’m doing P90X (for the 3rd time :-) ). It’s a balance of 3 days resistance training and 3 days cardio (e.g. plyometrics, kenpo), alternating days weights & cardio.
The 2nd time through I didn’t see any fat loss results, but my diet was only ok. I bought Joel’s CYWT program, and am at the end of the primer phase. I’m down 2 lbs over 2 weeks to 198. My goal, using CYWT, is to get to 180-185, and not lose a lot of muscle. Joel, I hope your “diet” program works!

Be able to do 60 pushups, 13 chinups, squat 300lbs, deadlift 400, bench 250, get 12% or lower bodyfat.

My goal for the next 16 weeks is to increase my bench (1RM) by 15kg.

By my birthday in February, I will be rock solid at 8% bodyfat, carrying a lean weight of 170. I’ll be able to comfortably wear whatever I want, but I’ll prefer to be shirtless, because my abs will be awesome!

I failed to mention my workouts, also. Mon-Wed-Fri I work out at Curves. On off days, I do either an exercise tape (Melt it off, Pilates, Yoga) or spend 65 minutes on cardio, the ellipse and rowing machine.

I need to lose 25 pounds, and trim the waist by 4 inches, all while getting my blood sugar under better control with the ultimate goal being to become independent of the poisonous pharmaceuticals I take for diabetes. Would be nice if I could get my blood pressure down to where those meds aren’t necessary any more either.

Over the next 16 weeks I want to wean off of my personal trainer, who has been a major influence in transforming my body and life over the past 18 months, and further develop the self discipline and confidence to continue working out on my own.

I am 48 years old, about to become a grandma for the first time and terribly out of shape. I read your stuff, have tried most of it but nothing has worked. My 16 week goal is to lose 50 pounds and build some muscle so I can be a strong and fit grandmother. While that is my goal, I have almost NO confidence that I will actually GET there….because I have tried every PROGRAM on the market……but, I figured why not TRY one more time?

I stated your cheat your way thin holiday program Monday (I was on a 7 day cruise the week before). 3 days in and 6lbs are already gone and I feel a lot less bloated.

I have not been able to exercise all 2010 due to 2 herniated discs in my lower spine.

My goal is to be able to exercise again by Feb 2011 – at least being able to go to hustle dance class once a week. AND for 25 lbs to be GONE!

Im 36 years old 5′ 5″ and weigh 160lbs. My goal weight is 145lbs and I want to drop my body fat from 37% to 24-26%. I started working toward my goal on November 1st 2010 and so far the first 5lbs have been up and down. I try to walk at least one mile a day and get in 15-30 minutes of circut training 6-7 times a week. I have changed my diet quite a bit, eliminating fast food, and over processed items from the grocery store. Ive added lots of fruit and fresh vegetables and trying to add more fish to my diet. I have even added the “cheat day” into the mix. We have a vacation trip planned for March 2011 so trying to get the bikini body ready in time.

My weight goal isn’t much – maybe 5 lbs off of current 165 lbs – as the focus is on improving lean mass to fat ratio and overall fitness rather than a specific target weight. I’m paying attention to – and logging – multiple factors including nutrition, exercise, and sleep and have a number of specific activity goals, including but not limited to improving 5k PR, 2000m erg, max pull-ups etc. which I’m using as indicators of fitness. In the gym and outside, I’m doing mostly bodyweight exercises in addition to intense interval cardio.

I want to loose 4 inches of belly fat and trim my waist by another 3 inches. I also want to develop a nice figure. I guess a 10 pound loss in weight will be OK. At my age, loosing too much weight is not recommended.
