What Are YOUR Goals?

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

My goal is to lose another 30-35 lbs and really tone up my body. I just started my new routine today and am determined to get the fat off for once and for all. I’m looking forward to all the extra energy i’m going to have.

I am 52 and shocked at how fat I’ve become. I have 2 jobs that are very physical. I look much younger than I actually am, but am starting to feel a lot older. I am completely stressed out. I need to get my BF down to 22% and lose about 46 pounds. I am heavily invested in this program and am able to start it today, June 7th 2010. My family is supporting me whole-heartedly. I have told none of my friends about what I have set out to accomplish. I just want them to oooh and aaah when the weight starts to come off. I believe in Joel’s system. I firmly believe that your mind has to be in the game in order for you to be a success.

Hey joel, i am currently 5’7 1/2″ in height and weigh 185lb., im not sure where My body fat is at but i know its probably 15%+. Any how i dont have a major problem building muscle but i do have a major problem burning off the fat! My goal is to continúe building muscle whole burning out body fat. I do know that i am 25lb. Over weight, so the goal is to burn off those 25lb., reach 8% body fat and develop an extremely chisseled core, and i am positve that i will stack 10lb.+ over lean muscle throughout the 16 week process… I have several programs at the moment, im starting with arnel’s explode to lose most Of belly fat (8 weeks), continúe with vinny’s NNMB to stack muscle(8 weeks), then finalize with Romans FPFL to complete and define the package (8 weeks)…. Wish me luck!

I’m nearly 40 and am going to lose another 5kg after already losing nearly 12kg and turning that into 10 or more kg in lean muscle.

Goals… yet another… yes — I guess I could qualify as a yo-yo dieter and this is another “start” for me. (Hope ’tis not a “false” one this time ;-)

Okay– I have inched my way higher than I ever thought possible and now require a MINNIMUM loss of 83 lbs. I will hit 50 yrs on my next birthday and at my last height taking, had lost about an inch – leaving me with a portly 5’6” frame to carry way too much weight on!

I am fairly active, usually participating in “multi-directional walking” activities for 30 minutes – 1.5 hours daily by following a DVD in one of our company’s conference rooms. I spend weekends gardening – or perhaps that is actually considered “yard work” – and of course dealing with the household chores, and never ending laundry. I figure these various forms of “life on a farm” (weekends only, of course!) takes care of any additional exercise curriculums I may miss.

To reiterate my goals: 5’6” tall, weigh too much (233 lbs) – need to lower the weight to 150 lbs (83# loss) – flexibility extremely dexterous – muscle tone … could improve — BF … I have no idea, but I am sure is “up” there. In 16-weeks, I hope to be at least 40 lbs closer to my original goal of 150 lbs.

My goal is to reach 8% body fat and achieve general fitness.Track and field training + gym will get me there (and i’ll cheat my way thin too). :P

My goal is to lose 40 lbs in the next 16 weeks. On October 17 I will be running my First half marathon and I want to be in the best shape possible to do it!

The first 2 wks will be prepping my bod for shoulder surgery. Then 8 wks of therapy. Hope I can maintain and not gain as all they will let me do is walk. Followed by 6 wks of getting back to where I am today and starting all over again. To date I have lost 33.7 lbs and 46.25 inches and I don’t want to have to repeat losing any of them again!

I am currently doing the Xtreme Fat Loss diet. I have lost 4 lbs and 3 inches in the first 5 days. I can’t believe it!! I am getting married in Sept and I want to rock in my dress. I am 38 and getting past the plateau has been a challenge. Thanks for getting me back on track and on to good health.

I’m 23 years old 104 kgs and my 16 weeks goal is to lose 15 kgs of fat and building muscle so i’ll get to 90 kgs and hopefully a better body!

Hi Joel,

My goal is to gain 10 pounds of lean muscle which would get me to 175 lbs and at the same time get my body fat to below 10% (ideally 8%). You have your work cut out for you on this one, you tell me what to do, I’ll be there doing it. Let’s make this happen!!!

Hey there…my goal is to lose anywhere from 80 – 100lbs if I don’t look anorexic in the process. I’m very tall and I look like I weigh 30lbs smaller than I really do. I hate scales!! It’s going to be a hard row because the home life I have is very stressful and hard to find time and everyones eating habits are not the same
but I’m gonna give it my best shot!!
