I am a 34 year old mother of 2. I work full time on straight afternoons (4-12). I have osteo-arthritis in my back, hip, feet, neck & wrists. I am in constant pain. I find it extremely difficult to find the time or energy to get a workout in especially with my 3 year old running circles around my – literally! But this is it. No more excuses. I need to loose 15 pounds of fat & gain lots of muscle. I have never been this weak in my life! I will do this for myself, but also for my girls. I will lead our family to a healthier life by showing them, not just telling them about healthy choices. My girls are worth whatever it takes for me to get healthy & fit, & so am I.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?
What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I don’t care how much WEIGHT I lose, I just want to get below 10% bodyfat! 8% is my goal! I’m about 5’9 and 183 lbs at appox 15% bodyfat (just ordered some electronic calipers as the old one s were +/- 2-3%)
I just finished the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet (went from 20.5% bodyfat to 13.9%-thank you for that Joel Marion) and now I just started CheatYourWayThin to reach my objective of having a bodyfat under 10%
My goal in the next 16 weeks is to lose 30 lbs of fat and exchange that for lean, sexy muscle. I know with all the help that I have received from yourself and your friends this goal will be reached.
I’d like to firm up my legs and arms and lose 10 pounds. At 51 it is not as easy as it used to be. Over the past three weeks I have notced that I can comfortably wear clothes that I have not had on in over 5 years.
I want to lose the body fat and gain muscle tone. I’ll be 62 in a couple of months and I want to be a fit 62. I all ready went from a 42 waist down too 38 waist.
I have already lots 20 lbs and I would like to lose another 30lbs in the next 16 weeks. I have some friends and family that tell me that I should be satisfied with what I’ve done. Because of my body type, I will never be thin. My ultimate goal is to prove them wrong.
My goal is 15 more pounds lost and 4 more percent bodyfat – to be at 140 1bs and 12% bodyfat. I am almost done with the 25 day xtreme program which is awesome, and I’ve lost more than 5 pounds, and about 8% bodyfat. So much fun to finally see some good measureable results after lots of years of ups and downs. The program rocks – I have convinced my husband to try it. He isn’t too thrilled with the fasting, but I’ve done that for years so he can do it for 25 days. Our daughter doesn’t think he’ll make it through the first fast, but she gave him a huge thumbs up on making it through the first cheat day!! Ha, Ha.
my goal is to build lean muscle and melt off fat through weight training workouts and a good healthy diet comprised mostly of fruits, vegetables and healthy fats. And I want to be able to do 10 good standard push ups. Right now I can only do 1, barely.
I never really thought to put things down into 16 week tangible goals, but right now my current goal is to lose 10-15 lbs. I just don’t have a time frame. I’m exercising almost every week day but I’m not able to invest in your program yet. I used to be a member of a local Cross Fit chapter but my trainer was killed suddenly and I haven’t gotten back into it. K
I wand to losose five kg’s in the next 16 weeks. Unfortunately I am limited in exercising which make losing weight very difficult. So I will try to stick to all the other advices from the information I am given on the subject of losing weight. ( such as what to eat and when and how much etc)
Regards
T.
Goal: body fat % 18 -> sub 10.
I have already lost around 30 lbs but would like to lose at least 15 more and build more lean muscle. I am 64 yrs young and am a size 8 but would like to be a size 5, I am 4′ 11″ short!
I’m 5 weeks into a 12 week transformation contest but I do not see the end of that as a stopping point. Clearly, I can tweak and fine-tune. I will be at my target weight for this contest in 4 weeks. That gives me a few weeks at the end to make those muscles pop. After that, I will go back to diet mode, slimming down to get ripped. I may be turning 46 in August, but no one will believe that!
hey, i just want to keep my weight in 200 pds, but erase my belly and gain some muscle….
I am 55, menopausal, and very out of shape. I am 5′ tall and weigh 129 lbs., and have never weighed over 106 lbs. most of my life! My goal is to lose approximately 25 – 30 lbs. of fat, gain an amazing amount of muscle, and be in the best shape of my life. I want to be able to lift my 26 lb grandson and the new one on the way, with ease, and without paying for it with a sore body for an entire week afterward!
Here is my ‘required participation’ posting :-)
I have 9 days left on my Xtreme Fat Loss Diet program. My main goal is to lose body fat …….getting down from 190# to 150#. At the same time, I am trying to lose the ‘bat wings’, juggly arm stuff us women have to deal with…
I am only 5’2″. I have been pretty sedentary because of severe chronic pain after a car accident a few years ago.
I cannot do the ‘xtreme’ exercises offered because they are too painful, but I do the best I can otherwise: lifting 2-lb weights overhead, go up and down my 2-stepper repeatedly & quickly 50 times each session, and play very intense ping pong almost daily.
I WILL reach my goal. I am not a quitter. Thank you Joel, for bringing out the BEST in me. For this I am very grateful. Hugssss to U!
Joel,
My goal is to shed a little more fat and get absolutely ripped.
It’s funny, because I thought I was doing a really good job of doing just that, felt like I was in pretty great beach body shape… then I went to the beach and got a wake up call!
Nothing motivates better than getting to the beach and seeing who the “real” competition is…

I am a 40 year old female and would like to lose about 75 lbs. (I know this will take much longer than 16 weeks) I would also like to tone my body and gain some muscles. My job has me sitting behind a desk all day on a computer so I have to find the time in the evenings to fit in some exercise.
Since turning 40 I have changed my diet and try to eat much healthier foods.
I don’t have much willpower and since I live alone it’s very hard for me to not “cheat” when I’ve had a bad day but I keep trying.
Hi Joel. I am currently 6Ft tall, 195lbs., and 22% BF. I am steadily working towards my goal of 12% BF. I know it’s a tall order, but with your program, it’s definitely possible! Sixteen weeks should bring me right up to about a month before my birthday, so what a great gift to myself!
I am 54 and going to be a grandpa next month. That is hard to deal with. Were did the time go. Mentally I think I am 25 but when I look in the mirror I see a chubby old guy. My goal is to drop 25 lbs of fat, gain muscle and reduce my waste by at least 4 inches. The french cut shirt I wore yesterday was a little disturbing. I can change that. Good Luck To All.
My goal is to lose 15 lbs Fat and improve my cardio. Improve my food choices and not give in so easily to circumstances.
My goal is to shed 30 pounds of fat and put on 10-15 pounds of muscle. It would be great to get my body fat percentage back into single digits. I am 33 and just recently experienced my metabolism basically come to a screeching halt. I just want to feel healthy as well as look healthy again.
I am running a half Marathon in October. I want to be around 18% body fat but of course, still be tone and have lots of defiition all over. I might have to get to 16% to see all the definition but I will adjust that goal when I am closer to reaching it. I am 5’4 and weigh in at 143 lbs. I have about 13 lbs of fat to loose at the least. The last I was measured I was 22% body fat. My longer term goal is to be a group fitness instructor. I am a mentor to my peers and always encourage people to workout with me. I have found I love encouraging others to be the healthiest they can be.
I want to get my weight down from 178 to 140, it’s been 15 yrs since I’ve been in the 140’s. My friends deserve to see me looking my best and I deserve to look and feel my best. That would put my body fat in the teens!! I’m desperately looking for a weight training program that also includes some nutrition guidelines and doesn’t cost a fortune to buy or join!
