What Are YOUR Goals?

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Hi,
I’m 50 years old and right now I am making good progress in improving my flexibility and balance. After this, I intend to increase my overall stamina and muscle tone. I expect to lose some fat while I’m doing this so my plans on losing fat are variable depending on where I see myself later in the summer/fall.

I have 3 weeks to look decent in my dance costume. So far it has not been working because I don’t know how to do it!

I’m turning 60 this year, and my doctor says I should weight 150. I’m 220. However, my boxing weight, when I felt best is between 170 and 180. Because of all the info I’ve received from this site and others, I’m now losing 20 pounds every two weeks. So my goal is to just continue.

My ultimate goal is to lose about 25 more pounds (I’ve lost 30 since January) – but, like Adi above, a realistic 16 week goal for me would be to lose 10-16 lbs. I want to focus more on toning and building muscle – unfortunately, I have an Achilles’ tendon injury that I’m nursing at the moment, but I should be back to 100% in a couple of weeks, at which point I’m going to schedule time with the personal trainer at my gym and amp up my weight training. As I always say, I can’t expect to look like the 20-somethings at this point in my life, but I want to be the most awesome 48 year old mama I can be!

Hi Joel,
I am turning 61 this year and have been overweight all of my life. Processed and fried foods have made up the majority of my diet. I work 37 to 40 hours on my feet all day at my full time job and work part time giving massage from my home (also on my feet). Exercise consists of 1/2 hour of “heavy hands” routines with 2 lb. weights once to twice a week and I try to walk or stationary cycle a couple times a week. My goal is to lose 30 pounds of fat in the next 16 weeks. I have no desire to be a body builder and will never show off 6 pack abs. I just want to be healthier.

i want to be extremely conditioned, get my body fat % from 15 to 10
Lose my man boobs ad gain 10 lbs of muscle . get eight packs and
pass all seal marine pt tests . ia m not an army man though ,.
i will accomplish my goal in one month .though i known that i cant get 8 packs
that fast .

Hey Joel,

My goal weight is 60kg and i’m presently 97kg.I’m 5’1” tall. In the next 16 weeks, i am working to lose btw 25kg – 30kg and build lean muscle too.I so want to do this because i’m tired of carrying the extra fat around.I want to get my energy levels up, follow my exercise regime faithfully and stick with a healthy food plan and lifestyle, going forward.

Hi Joel, I’m female 23 yrs old and in the next 16 weeks I would like to lose 12 kilos ( from 82-70kgs) and lose about 10% body fat (28-18 ish %) my goal is to compete in a figure competition for
the first time next year and have only really been training for the past 4 months. I’m so excited!!!

I’m 5’6″ and weigh 127lbs now. My goal is to cut 10lbs of fat to show off my muscles and take some great pics. I want to get a taste of what it takes to prepare for a figure competition.

My goal would be to lose as much of the fat I have accumulated as soon as possible. I had many traumas last year that caused me to bulk up and overindulge in comfort foods. That, coupled with my age (59 tomorrow) have turned me into quite the jabba the hut.

I just finished the 25 day xtreme fat loss, and lost 3 sizes! but now I am on vacation and feeling like I kinda bit dust! my vacation ends tomorrow, Im actually feeling ok abt that…. I will be happy to get back to my routine and healthy life with no pressure to eat what everyone else is eating! I would like to continue to lose a bit more fat. As of now I am happy with the results, but, I would llike to tone up the very last bit for when my husband comes home on R&R at the beginning of August!! yay

I *am* 50 pounds lighter, making good food choices, and exercising everyday (I understand parts of this goal may take longer than 16 weeks, but I can be well on my way.

i am 72 kg 14% body fat .i will be 10% body fat which means to lose 3 kg of fat and i want to gain 3 kg of muscle

Im 46 years old and each year Im just getting bigger and bigger so once I tipped the scales at 202 pounds (Im 5′ 7″) I decided that things had gone too far and my goal is to get down to 147 pounds and be able to move without being exhausted – whether or not I can be do this in 16 weeks remains to be seen but Im feeling very hopeful and positive – we’ll see.
