Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.
Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?
What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?
I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.
Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them. Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”
Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.
(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)
Talk to you in the comments section!

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

My goal for the next couple weeks is to drop my Body Fat from 21% (at last measurement) to <15%.
Just came off 2 weeks of cut and dropped to 160. I plan on going up to 175 or 180 in 12 weeks and then back down to 170 or 175. My workout plan is going to center on full body with some extra emphasis on the legs, low back and hips.
I find the constant emails inspiring and a constant reminder to keep going !;)
I am 5’3″ tall and currently weigh 197 lbs (down from the 205 lbs I started at) and Have a 38″ waist. My 16 week goal is to get down to 155 lbs and add a lot more muscle, and ideally fit into 32″ slacks or smaller.
i am three days away from finishing my 25 day cycle on the xtreme fat loss diet, I have done quite well on it and am at a weight I am happy with! (it was damn hard!) Unfortunately the day after i finish I have to have a hernia repair surgery, and I am not allowed to do any cardio for 2 weeks and no weight training for up to 6 weeks!! I am concerned that I’m going to start losing muscle and gaining fat back that I have worked so hard to get rid of. So i guess you could say my 16 week goal is divided into 3 parts… 2 weeks of trying to maintain my weight right now without any exercise, then 4 weeks of trying to maintain my weight with cardio training and minimal muscle loss… then I want to spend the next 10 – 12 weeks building mass muscle! The XFLD diet is so hard on your eating regime that I really could use a break, but because I have surgery I’m going to have to continue to be quite strict if i dont want to put on weight so I just cannot wait until I can start eating normally again!
To regain flexibility.Regain my foot stability(old injuries).I train in a gym(bodyweight, resisted cardio, stair runs)but I work nights and don’t get to train outdoors).I am STILl capable of much more than my appearance suggests(skinny 46 year old)and would like to do better.
I’m going to go from 127 pounds to whatever it takes to lose at least 2% body fat and tone up by rear/hips/thighs.
I’d also like to mention that if anyone has any advice for me about how I could make as little fat gain as possible and maintaining my muscle over my 6 week recovery period then I would love to hear it… thanks
I’m 6’3″ and weigh 230 lbs. I want to be 200 lbs with a 10% bf. Get more definition in my abs and upper body.
My goal is to loose 15 kgs and go from 25% Body fat to 11%
i want to loose 25 lbs
i want to lose 7lbs, but my main focus is to try and tone up….especially my stomach as i find this my main problem area! good luck to everyone and i hope you reach your goals, that you have set too!!!
Hi Joel, my goal is to build muscle and lose weight. I have two weddings this summer and I want to fit into the dress I want to wear on these two days. I am 163 cm and 61,2 kgs (now)
I am currently using the Xtrem Fat loss diet. Lost 1,3 kilos with the first cycle (no much I know!!) and I hope to lose more with the 2nd one.
Cheers
I aim to weigh 154 lbs by 7 Oct 2010. I currently weigh 175 lbs (7 Jun 2010).
Hey Joel,
I am 52 weigh 160 lbs and am 5’6″. I would like to lose 15 lbs of fat and gain some muscle, losing the wings under my arms and tighten up abs. I have your Cheat your way thin… just need to follow it!!
Best of luck to everyone challenging themselves.
My goal is to cut on my belly fat.. i am not 38 inch on belly i want to make it to 32 but am not that bulky..
Will your doctor release you to do just bodyweight circuit training without free weights or machines? There are more programs available than I thought, as far as body resistance goes. Also, even if you can’t break a sweat, walking a few miles a day at an easy pace should be all right for you and help you maintain some fitness, when you’re ready to get moving again! My dad just recovered from kidney surgery and he would walk 3x a day, eventually he worked up to two miles at a time. It did wonders for his stamina and helped him recover quickly. Good Luck!
My goal is to lose my last 5kg, lose my extra ‘belly weight’ (post pregnancies) and to tone up and have a body i am proud to show off. No more hiding beneath looser fitting clothes that cover my belly!! This is really exciting.
My goal is to drop 21lbs
My goal over the next 16 weeks is to run at least one 5K and to drop at least 30 pounds.
Hey there!! I’m a 50 year old, 5’10” 82kg trying to get rid of the loose skin, around waist and build core streangth and get my fat% to below 10 so i can show off the ab’s . Heartiest thanks for all the info all you guy’s put in for the enthusiasts. I currently live in Dubai as a expat, I cannot get a hold of Prograde
supliments (like whey ,there are others like muceltech which I am not keen on)
over hear. Could you help? thanks.
My goals are to lose the last 7kg of weight and to get the definition I want by doing so. I am so close, I have already lost 23 kg and kept it off for over two years. I need to get over the final hurdle of losing the last little bit. People tell me I look amazing now, but wait till they see the finished result……..at 54 years old, competing in physique contests for ladies over 45 is hell of an achievement. Watch this space…..
Hi, my aim in the next 16weeks is to lose at least 16kg. It is totally achievable but I have been lacking commitment. I have at least 20kg to lose. I am hoping my 3 weeks in Borneo in 2 weeks time will kick start me as I am not sure how much I will eat there and I want to do a lot of walking. I am injured and it has dampened my enthusiasm and it is painful to exercise.
My goal is to be Fit, fabulous and 40 yo. I have until Feb next year although I hope that I will achieve it in the next 8 weeks. I want to loose about 8 kg and get below 20% BF. present about 33% Yuk! That is the initial goal and then will see how I feel from there.

Hey, it’s Joel! So you want to know a little more about me, huh? Well, I’d be happy to oblige :-)
I guess it all started back in 2001 (my freshman year of college) when I was just a “skinny fat” 19-year old kid. At the time, I was spending close to 2 hours a day in the gym (now my workouts last about 30 minutes), and despite my efforts, you’d probably never guess I worked out a day in my life by looking at me...
