What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

Not quite two years ago I found out that I had a somewhat high blood sugar reading during an illness. It scared me to death. At that moment I turned my life around on a dime and for the next year I ate extremely healthy, exercised and lost 50 lbs. The past 6 months I have “fallen of the wagon” and have gained some weight back and I’m sure my numbers have gone up again. I’m afraid to check them. I’m 48 yo, 5’2″ and about 215 lbs (175 was my low). Married, 2 children – 15 and 19 yo

I would like to have some help in getting the weight off so that I can get my numbers back down and try to stay in “normal” blood sugar range. My goal for the next 16 weeks is to lose at least 25 lbs, but more would be great. I want to start eating low carb/heathly whole foods again and exercise in some matter. I could really use some guidance and feel that you, Joel, and Josh would be able to help me get “back on the wagon” and repeat the success I had last year and hopefully continue until I have lost all that I need to lose.

My 16 week goal is to lose 10-12 pounds of fat, gain (at least) 5-6 pounds of muscle, and learn all that I need to in order to maintain or improve on the body I achieve by the end of the 16 weeks period.

Goal: get to 180 lbs – +/- 2. I’ve managed to go from 196 to 185 since January. I think its a net loss since my pants are loose, my gut is gone, and I’m getting kind of cut. Still, at 55 yrs old, it all seems up hill. I work out 4 to 5 times a week – depending on the demands of my job, long commute, and family obligations. Still, I’ve been committed to fitness for 12 years now and its part of my life.

Over last 6 weeks (1 week of illness and 2 weeks of vacation) I lost 9 lbs.
Goal: 185 lbs on 10 AUG; 175 lbs on 10 OCT at sixteen week mark. I’ve integrated exercise into my life style over last 35 years but have just changed from aerobic style (jogging, cycling and swimming) to HIIT (high intensity interval training) @3 days/wk (30sec sprint + 90 sec walk) building up from 4 reps to 8 reps/session. Total time including warmup and cooldown is less than 30 minutes. Off days I stretch or do light bodyweight exercise. I’m careful with whites (sugar, flour, rice) and don’t eat carbs with fats except one day/week. Not bad considering 63 y/o!

I am a 50-yr-old mother of seven kids, and I want my body back! My ideal weight is between 135 – 140lbs . I am 5’7″, and my weight is about 160. I am peri-menopausal if that makes any difference. Not afraid to try something new or out of the box, and I’m NOT a “china doll” ! My family deserves a mom who can keep up with them, and I just want to be as healthy and fit as possible. I may not be as savvy as most of your followers are, but this one thing I know: I can do anything that I set my mind to do, and with your help, my goal of being a healthy, fit mom will be reached. Thanks!

I am 5’1.5 and 133 lbs, I have been struggling at this weight off and on for the past 1.5 years, getting as high as 146 and barely keeping 130. I exercise 3 times a week with weights and interval cardio and my BIA says I only burn about 1300 calories a day making it very difficult for me to eat any better than I do. My goal is to get to 115 lbs and increase my muscle tone from 38% right now to about 24% in the next 16 weeks.

My goal is to finally feel good about myself. I want to tone done and lose fat but primarily work on not focusing on the areas of my body I don’t like. Also, to lose belly fat! I currently weigh 145 (with a lot of muscle) and would like to weight 135 and look more toned and leaner. Also want to decrease my body fat by 5-8% (at 22ish% now).

Hey Joel im 15 and have been struggling with my body for an amazingly long time ! basically my whole life haha, i’ve always been the chubby kid but this year i tried to workout and its really not working out for me at all, infact, i’ve been losing muscle !! now i honestly dont know what to do, i thought that if i started to workout i mightve lost a few pounds and gained some muscle, however i feel like the opposite happened, MY ARMS SHRUNK !! i didnt even know that was possible, no matter how long and how hard i train for i just cant get results !, i have a blubbery stomach, fat on my chests, twig arms and this caused my emotional distress my whole life, if u look at me with my shirt on you would think im a fairly skinny guy, but when i take my shirt off and feel how thick the layer of fat on top of my skin is you would be really SURPRISED !! i have ALOT of body fat and when ever i play sports, it takes about 3-5 minutes for my face to get red and me to start breathing like a dog. Now im starting high school in 2 months and i really want to get in the best shape of my life, starting high school is a big thing especially for thee generation kids and everything matters when you’re going into highschool, 1 of the biggest is your physique. im about 5’3 and about 150lbs, My goal is to shed most of my fat and maybe instead of being 150lbs and fat; be 150lbs but mostly muscle. Thank you for taking the time to read this, i highly appreciate your time and energy by reading this and i would LOVE to hear from you soon :).

Goal: to be a (big) 170 lbs with at least 12% bodyfat. Currently at 180. Basically want to transform the fat into muscle if that’s even possible.

My goal is to reach 130-140 range. To decrease my BMI from 34 to 18-20 range and get my type 2 diabetes, GERDS, IBS, Colitis, Gastritis, Plantar Fascitis, Hyperlipidemia, Asthma under control if not completely asymptomatic. Also to learn coping mechanisms since I have a lot of stress in my life and it’s not getting any better. Drink at least 64 oz of water per day, and exercise 30 minutes daily.

I want to be around to see my 6 yr old grow up and be there for my 18 yr old and new husband.

My 16 week goal is 60 lbs !!!!! I want to start the new year with a new body. I am pretty active and 42 but have struggled the last few years with my weight due to my job and situation. I work 13 hours a day 4 days a week and it is very difficult to get in my workout and eat when I need to through out the day. I have more than average amount of muscle but cannot get the belly and low back fat off no matter what I do. I want to be the father and man that I know I can by loosing the weight and gaining my confidence back .

I would love to lose some more weight and really just get my act together. I feel so lost and unmotivated so much of the time. I so much want to be more and I know I have so much more in me.

There is a quote by Nelson Mandela stating how it is our light not our darkness that scares us and that we are powerful beyond measure. I want to reach my true potential, but to be honest it scares me. I want to lose weight yes, but I want to just be the best possible version of me there is. I don’t want to be afraid of what I could be anymore. I want to be proud and strong and amazing.

I have tried everything and I know programs work. However I lost my 12 year old son to cancer and now I am caring around 45 extra pounds and just don’t have any strength to fix it. I really want to try to but with being depressed and trying and not succeeding, it seems hopeless. I need some help. We (my husband and I) are now working hard at raising funds to help find a cure for childhood cancer however with me being so upset about my appearance and my total lack of energy I just can’t do what needs to be done. I was about 205 LBS. and managed to go down to 165, in about 3 months. I kept the weight off for almost a year, but recently, I balloned to 183 +/-. I want to lose between 10-15 LBS so I can be rigjht around the 170 mark.

My biggest problem is that I do NOT like exercising. I do whatever little I do because I know I have to, but I dread it and dislike it :-( .

I desperately need a knee replacement. To qualify for the surgery I need to lose 100lbs. Due to illness and some changes in my diet I recently lost about 25 lbs. Before that I was over 400 lbs. I had been fairly active for my weight but it began to catch up to me and then I was injured. Simply put I would like to lose 50 lbs over the next 16 weeks. It is a very significant goal for me because as a result of my injury I can’t walk without a walker or crutches and therefore there are many exercises I can’t do.

my goal is to drop bodyfat from 16% to 10% and at least stay on the same bodyweight,so i need to gain some muscle aswell, otherwise my bodyweight woud drop and since i weigh only about 160 pounds that is someting i want to avoid.so in basic terms:lose about 3,4 kilo’s of fat and gain 3,4 kilo’s of muscle.
