What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

For the past year I have been limiting my ‘bad’ food/drink intake. On my bad food/drink list is soda pop, juice, chocolate, pasta, pizza, etc. everything that taste good basically. The goal is to lose 200 pounds altogether but my 16 week is to lose at least 20 pounds of that, by limiting or completly removing the foods from my diet/lifestyle. Im also working on taking the moderate exercise I do to the next level, more of everything I do and more time commitment too.

I am an almost 53 yr old female. I have started my weight loss program quite a few years ago and lost 60 pound in 4 months and have kept it off for 14 years. The thing is that I have been on this plateau for 4 years and go up a pound or two then down but still keep in the weight bracket. I would like to see what a trainer could help me with to lose the jello belly and take off my last 15-18 pounds. I walk every day atleast 2 miles, swim twice a week, eat healthy and follow your tips but it only makes a small notice so maybe this will improve 100%.

I am a 42 year old mother of four boys. I am also an endurance athlete that loves to lift.

I’m the challenging project for both of you! I’m a 28yr old guy, 178cm and 200lbs. My body fat is 25%. In January I undergone surgery for the second time in my life on my lumber spine. The first time was when I was 17 and had to have a disc removed. This time I had my L3&4 shaved to help free up the nerve. Yet I still have pain running down my right leg caused by my nerve being caught up in my Piriformis. When I was younger I was really fit and good at many sport mainly soccer and golf. I suffered a bad fall and herniated my L5. For ten years after that I toyed with getting fit again and changing my life, however work and lame excuses stopped that ever happening. My fitness was average and I could still play all sports until may 2011. I damaged my back on my forth week of the insanity program and then played golf and tore my Piriformis. I’ve had over a year being still and gained 15-20 lbs in the last 14 months. After this surgery things are getting serious for me and In order to prevent problems for me in the future, I NOW have to change my life and get fit and lean, and most importantly I need to stay that way! My target is to lose 35lbs in 16weeks, gain muscle and massive core stability. Your help could help me meet these targets and seriously help change my life for years to come taking account of my limited movement stilll. if you guys want a challenge???? I’m your man!!! I’m at your mercy. Thanks for reading, Graeme (Glasgow, Scotland)

My 16 week goal is –
Reduce my waist measurement from 37” to 35”.
Retain my weight of 150 pounds while loosing body fat and gaining muscle mass.
Be on a healthy lifetime diet.
Have a workout routine of 40 minutes a day, 3 days a week, that can be performed year-round in my 32’ motorhome (my only home).

I am 76 year old, 5’7”, male, in good health.

I am not as young as I claim to be and my health is even older than that. I want to lower my BMI, tone up, reshape my body and create good habits. I have already lost 35-40 pounds but still have a lot more to go. I think your 16 week program would help me through my challenges. I have shared your site and information with all my friends. Thanks for all the great information.

58 year old male that considers myself to be in pretty good shape. Run a respectable 5K and do well at the Tampa Fight for Air Climb each year. At about 12 % body fat at 157 lbs., I look respectable, but I want more. I really want to get some solid muscle added to this runner/swimmer’s build without having to add additional fat. I believe the personal coaching would be just the extra kick I need to get this accomplished and get it done right.

Dear Joel & Dan:

My goals are simple and straightforward:

1) Hit (and maintain) the “athletic” category of bodyfat for women which is 14-20% by the end of 2012 (I will be 52 in August).

2) Train like an athlete with focus and vision, and be able to do 15 unassisted pullups by the end of 2012.

3) Prove to myself that I CAN start a journey and see it ALL the way through to the end. Doing this will force me to dance with my fears and lead them instead of them leading me.

4) Be a role model and inspiration for healthy living to my 13-year old niece, Rachel, who struggles (and suffers) from Tourette’s Syndrome, OCD, and ADHD.

If I am blessed enough to be selected as the recipient of the premium coaching, I will gladly blog about my journey so that others can benefit from sharing in my experiences!

Thank you so much for your consideration, Joel & Dan!

Kim

Male, 20, and I have a torn ACL and MCL. Not
Trying to let that hinder my progress. I have slowed down a little but I have recently started back my own routine of 5 days a week. I am currently a personal trainer in the Birmingham area as well. I am 6’2, 220 and about 19% body fat. I want to be 200 with about 10-12% body fat!

I’m 57 years old and need to do this before it’s too late. 6’1″ 220, somewhat muscular. Been in good shape when I was younger. Spoiled myself too much the last 15 years. I now have the time for this as my employer closed 5 months ago and haven’t found new work yet. Need to lose 30 lbs, gain flexibility and strengthen my heart. I would love to work with you guys.

I am a 57 year old female, who used be fit, but I let myself go over the past 3 years, and now I have 10% body fat to lose. My goal for the 16 weeks, would be to train hard, so that I may be fit once again, so that I may complete the rest of my life goals.

I am a 28 year old female. I have two kids. The highest I have weighed was 294lbs. I didn’t know how bad my weight was until one day my brother was play around with me and he took a picture of me sitting in my truck. I took a look at the photo and I was amazed at what I saw. Had he not taken that picture I think I would have continued to go up in size because I didn’t think I was that big. It has been 1 year since then. I have lost 60lbs but I find myself quitting when I don’t have a partner working out with me. What I mean about partner is I have been entering in weightloss challenges to give myself motivation and comfort of not being in this alone. I find it hard to do it by myself. My 16 week goal is to lose 25% body fat and to work out without a partner. I want this bad because this 16 week training would give me my ideal body size and an extended life would be the greatest gift of all for my two kids;-)

As a 74 year old great grandmother I will lose 25#s I now weigh 128. I am only 5 feet tall. I have very strong legs and FAT abs. I will work on my core to remove my fat. I also will work hard to get rid of flabby upper arms.
My hips will not be smaller (34″) than my fat waist (36″) which should be 24″. I will mind my trainers and do as I’m told. I WILL work and lose my fat and flabby middle and never be obese again.!!!

Hello Joel & Dan, I’m a 43 year-old father of four. I’ve just finished coaching three of my boys little league baseball teams (two different teams) and now I need a little coaching myself. I’ve gotten a little out of shape over the years and need an expert to help me out. I need someone with the knowledge and tools to help me reach my goals. I weigh 260 lbs. 72 in. tall, with 33% BF. I would like to reduce my weight 30 -35 lbs, and reduce my bodyfat by 10-15% in 16 weeks. Additionally, I would like to improve my strength, flexibility, and endurace health to run a half marathon this October. Thanks for listening and hope I hear from you soon. Brian B.

Hi Everyone,

I’m getting vvery close to 40 and have decided that I am going to hit 40 at my fittest ever. The 16 weeks will just about take me to my birthday and my goals are to gain 20 pound muscle and loose 10pounds of fat in the process. I am currently 220 pounds, 6.5 feet tall with bodyfat around 14%. I have been regularly attending the gym for the last 5 years but kind of feel a bit stale with it and need something to get me through my current plateau.

All the best to all of you getting fitter.

Cheers

jonas

I put on weight during my husband’s battle with cancer and I can’t get it off.
I am 75 and in good health and I really want to be around to see my grandchildren grow up.
I believe that losing between 25-35 lbs … (I’m 150 now) and I think that would that get me to a healthy weight. I yearn to get rid of the flab.
So many weight loss programs focus on younger people and I’d love to be part of a “let’s help the seniors get fit” movement.
Thank you very much.
