What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

16 Week Goals:
1) Lose 5-10% body fat
2) Change my shape – I know round is a shape but not the one I want
3) Re-gain healthy eating habits (getting rid of acid reflux)
4) Be active

These might not sound like much but I am ready to re-gain a totally healthy lifestyle – mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. I will be 62 this year and I have taken the last four yease off from the activities I love. I had a knee relpacement and after recovering from that, 1 year and 1 month later, I broke my ankle and have a plate with 9 screws in it. I then decided to go to graduate school and get my masters, so I spent two years in my office studying and being secluded. I am ready to get back to my outrigger canoeing and start to be competative again… but 4 years of little activity has me going slow and getting frustrated.

Hi Joel,
Up to age 70yrs I was fairly active(although at least 20lbs overweight , but then was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor(non Malignant) . Following an operation to remove said tumor my vision was displaced and for many months imbalanced ( corrected by Optometrist frequently with prisms and patches.) . Once this was righted after 18months my weight had increased drastically and my health and fitness suffered as a result. My Doctor put me on increased BP medication and Advised statins (the latter had bad muscular effects and so I discontinued the statins) My GP however states that you must REDUCE weight by exercise and sensible eating as otherwise he is very concerned about the possibility of a Heart attack or stroke. My Father died after a number of heart attacks and my beloved Mother died as a result of several strokes both just over 80years old. As I am now 76+ I am increasingly concerned but am advised to exercise with caution .(had considered interval training ???) and unfortunately my good intentions are not always matched by my will power. I would be interested to know whether your methods would apply or indeed if they would be too extreme for me Regards

During the next 16 weeks, I aim to lose these stubborn 10 lbs. 15 lbs would be outstanding, but absolutely must lose 10. I want to lose fat and gain muscle. To do this, I know I must make changes to my eating ( & mostly drinking) habits. Working at a bar is hard because the only food available sucks, and alcohol is a pretty standard part of that scene, but I am confident that I can avoid the food and substitute my own healthier choices. I need to up my workouts, but I am already an avid hiker & yogi. I have little access to a gym so at home exercises are the best choice for me. I am excited for this transformation. I know I will not only look better but feel much better too!

Thanks for the motivation Joel!

My 16 week goal is to add some size and depth to my chest, to add some size to my calves (so they are more proportional with my thighs) and to add an inch or two to my arms. I am trying to improve on my weak points for a Fitness model show next year!

I would like to lose my belly after having twin girls. My girls were 7 lbs 11oz and 6 lbs 10 oz and full term! My 16 week transformation with Joel’s help, would give me great motivation before I turn 40.

My goal in 16 weeks would be to able to do at least 8 pull ups on the pull up bar. I know I can make it. I’ve always been heavy growing up and now in my 20s health and fitness is key. My dad is currently in dialysis treatment for kidney failure as a result of his diabetes and now battling stage 4 throat cancer. Being with him has taught me even more so now to take care of myself and to listen to my body. I am not overweight, but getting to my goal would be big for me. taking care of my dad has taught me of the huge consequences that an occur when you don’t take care of yourself in time. And that’s what I’m planning to do.

Hi Joel,
My goal is to lose 32 pounds of fat and gain muscles in the first 16 weeks. I also want to learn how to continue to lose weight until I have reached my goal of 60 pounds and keep the weight off and how to eat healthy at a reasonable cost for life. I have struggled with losing weight and have tried just about every diet there is. I no longer want to diet but learn how to exercise and eat healthy as a way of life. I really could use your help because I have not been able to acheive this on my own. I really believe that if I had a personal trainer to work with that I could achieve my weight goals as well as life goals.

My 16 week goal has been my 16 year goal…To lose weight (30-35 pounds) and get fit and toned. Why do I need the Two on 1? Because I don’t want my 16 week goal to continue to be my 16 + year goal, and because I have tried everything and never been able to accomplish my goal. I need your help! As a single lady, I know losing this weight and getting healthier would give me the confidence I need to face the wold of men (dating) and performing (I am a singer), along with finally being able to look in the mirror and like what I see. With your help in 16 weeks I can do what I have tried to do for 16 years…lose weight and get fit (both inside and out). It would be an honor to receive this gift and one I would fully commit to. I hope to hear from you soon! :)

I’m 46 years old. I’m getting married in September and going on honeymoon in Italy the following month… approximately 16 weeks from today.

My fitness goal for the next 16 weeks is to be able to complete the US Marines Physical Fitness Test with a score of 270 out of 300 or better. This means 20 “dead-hang” pull-ups, 100 crunches in 2 minutes, and completing a 3 mile run in under 22 minutes.

My “honeymoon” goal is to be able to wear one of those “nut-hugger” bathing suits on the beach in Italy without rolls of fat busting out all over.

ciao

Hey Joel, I’ve been eating better and exercising since Dec. I’m down 15lbs give or take. But I started out at the weight I was when I gave birth to my son so I still have a ways to go. I hate all the extra weight, I really don’t see myself as fat, even though I am, so I’m anxious to start getting with it. Plan on starting your xfl program in a week or so. Thanks so much for your hard work and sharing it with us!

My 16 week goal is to fit comfortably in a size 10 again. I’m currently a 14/16. I don’t have a weight loss goal, just a size goal. I know with strength training i might not lose a ton of weight but the inches will melt away. I’d also like to see more muscle definition and just be stronger overall. About 5 years ago I was able to bench press 100 lbs (a huge deal for me!). I’d like to be able to do that again and even surpass that weight.

My 16 week goal would to be fit, fabulous, and fierce at 40. Losing 12lbs and gaining confidence for my 10 year anniversary trip would be the greatest gift to my self and my husband. Having someone keeping me on track would be a great asset to my 2012 goal. Thanks for the opportunity.

Hi Joel,
How is it possible to get really good numbers, i.e. LDL, HDL, blood pressure, liver function, kidney function and still be overweight? A recent visit to my doctor had him jumping up and down for joy. He says he rarely sees someone in such good health and yet I am defintely overweight. I could easily stand to lose 60 pounds. So if that seems like a challenge to you….let’s partner up and get me in the best shape of my life. Goals: To get toned, which I am not….lose the excess weight and finally be able to feel like my life-long goal of being able to feel fit!!

Since April 4th of this year I have lost 20 pounds. My 16 week goal is to lose another 20-30 pounds and also be able to jog for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. I want to lose my belly flap as it makes me feel very self conscience or my body.

Hey Joel,
My 16 week goal is to lose 20lbs.
I’d like to lose the weight without losing too much muscle.
I woke up this morning and told myself to lose 5 lbs in a week.
I’m really hyped but my problem is that my diet isn’t the best because I’m on a budget. Still I’m determined and I feel that with some positive reinforcement will power, motivation and some coaching I can reach or surpass my goals.

I am a 33 year old mother of four. All girls, ages 9, 5, 4, & 2. I’m about 50 lbs over weight. Just last month I signed up for the gym. I have gone at least 3 days a week since – I am ÜBER motivated to get healthy! Not only for myself, but so that my girls can learn from my example. I want healthy living to come as 2nd nature to them, so they won’t have such a struggle. My 16 week goal is to loose 2 dress sizes!

I am recovering from a serious fall at work from a scaffolding. I fractured my back and received a head injury falling 15′ onto a steel deck. prior to the accident I was a triathlete, I have also done some bodybuilding. I would like to get back to the shape I was then. Since the accident I have gained ten lbs, doesn’t sound like much, but for me it slows me down. I have been reading all the daily info from Shin and Joel but I need a push to really get into it and back on track. My recovery has been slow, but I feel I am ready.
