What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

Hi, it’s winter where I am, and during the cold spell I’d really like to avoid piling back on some of the kgs I lost acting on your good advice. (Hint to myself: stop drinking ‘lite’ instant soup snacks, they’re packed with starch.) Here’s some encouraging news for all: I lost 8 kg this year just cutting out wheat from my diet, with no additional effort. I do sometimes relax on this rule when I eat out, but you won’t find a crumb of bread in my house. Other than losing even more fat, I’d like to get more toned this winter. I’m a couch potato. What’s a good exercise to do on a couch?

Hi! My name is Jane (27), 5’6″ and currently weigh 64kg. Although I try to watch what I eat and exercise regularly most of the time my weight has persistently gone up by 2kg that I can not shift (on top of the other few kilos I want to lose anyway). It used to fluctuate between 60-62kg (then too I wanted shed a few kilos to get down to 55-57kg. However now it has been between 64-66kg for the last 5-6 months and can not seem to get it down. My goal is to lose 7kg, tone my tum and around the waist (biggest problem area) and lose fat between my thigs, tone legs etc. Also having an office job (sitting down all day) seems to have flattened my bum so I would love to build muscle on my glutes, if that’s possible :)
Many Thanks,
Jane

To put on 4lbs on muscle, 1lb every 4 weeks, while loosing 8lbs of fat – all as a minimum. Aiming for muscle definition and sculpting my upper body. While maintining a nutrition plan suited for building muscle and getting rid of that stubborn fat, increasing my metabolism so im burning all day and night! :-)

Hi, I live in the south of England, I’m 44, had a baby 4 years ago, have lost a kidney, lost energy, gained weight round my waist. Yesterday I lost a job before I even started it due to problems at the company and I’m finding it very difficult to stay positive.
I have tried hard to lose weight on my own as I have been studying a degree for the past 3 years while bringing up 3 children. Having just finished my last year I’m quite tired and my house needs decorating and although we have bought paints and things, I don’t have the energy to do anything about it!
I feel a bit more support and advice would put me on the right path, so my goal is to get more energy to be able to get out of bed in the morning. My current weight is 12 stone 4 lb and I am 5ft 6ins. I would like to get down to 10 stone and feel energetic again. I feel that getting one-on-one support would be great and two-on-one support sounds fabulous! However I cannot afford a personal trainer!

I am creating a new life and would like to create a new body to go along with it. In 2000, my husband died from a motorcycle accident and I had 2 year old twin boys which I had at the age of 45. In one day, my life turned upside down emotionally from no partner to raise my boys with, physically with so much to do and the only one to carry, feed, & take care of twin boys, financially with my husband being in a new job and no life insurance, and no time to eat properly, exercise and take care of myself. Before that, everything was just the opposite. We ate healthy, had a professional gym in our house, financial security, etc.
My boys are 13 now and I want my life back. I would like to loose 20 pounds with most of the weight being around the stomach and start eating healthy everyday for myself and to teach my twin boys how to eat healthy and make exercise a daily habit by me being an example. I need the guidance and your expertise to do this and would be elated & grateful for this. I do follow directions well and am very disciplined so following your advice and direction would be easy for me. Thanks for this opportunity and I would be honored if you chose me!

Hi was super fit, trained in martial arts for 12 years. Two kids later, separated and two knee surgeries later about 10 kilos over my previous lean status. Some due to lack of activity, some due to knee a lot due to poor diet because of stress and tiredness and dependence on sugar. Would love to get back to feeling good, healthy and respecting myself. Really hope you can help. So need energy and to feel support and motivation just want a push…

Hi! Mi name is Mar, I’m 35 years old, 169 cm and 77 kg.
After many years of fad-dieting and no exercise at all, in March I started a new journey. I have started going to the gym 4-5 time a week. I am getting results already (have lost 2 kg and my body “looks” different already) but in the next 16 weeks my goals are:
-hitting the gym 5-6 days per week, and getting at least 4 sessions of cardio and 3 sessions of resistance training.
-eating for fuel, not for cravings
-losing 6 kg
-feeling awesome!!!

I’d love your help in achieving these goals. You’ve got to pick me!!

Hey :) i’m 29, 165 cm and 75 (:() kg. i’ve tried so many diets in the past few years, including the big breakfast diet to its last day (!), all suplements and recommended vitamins included. i work out on a daily basis, eat only organic foods for over a year now, and still i can’t get below 70 kg on my best times.i’m a great fine of Mike Geary and Joel’s reading materials and tips and do my best to implement all of them as much as possible. i’m willing to do whatever it takes – nutrition and work out wise to lose those resilient 15-20 kgs in the next 16 weeks and see some results!
i want to feel great, look great, and be strong and sexy!
good luck to all and thanks for the opportunity!

Hi, This is Julio from the Netherlands. 41 years old, 180 cm in length, 75 KG. I just lost 6,7 kg last month with the XFLD, using it for 3 cycles of 5 days. Now, I’d like to put on some mass without regaining the belly I just lost (this is another way of stating that I don’t want to go through those 12 days of torture again; cheat days not included lol). Long time goal: 80 kg bodyweight with single digit bodyfat. My goal for the 12 weeks: gain 2kg of pure muscle. Healthy regards!

Hi,
This past week I went to a pain specialist, and I was so embarrassed to say that I am 5′ 5-1/2″ tall and weigh 187.5 pounds. When I was pregnant with my son (now 26), I only weighed 132 pound, and that was at the end of my 9 months! It would we great to get back to that weight, so my goal is to loose 55 – 60 pounds and tone up as much as I possible can handle. I have fibromyalgia and mid-back pain that has kept me tethered done for the last 19 years. Loosing weight has been pretty well impossible even when I have had times when the fibromyalgia was not acting up. My husband, who doesn’t change anything but the amount he eats, looses weigh easily. That’s frustrating, so any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Hi joel
I am a 40 year old, 6’3″, 131kg father of 3. Over the last 6 years I have trained on and off, dieted on off, to try and get back to my fighting weight of around 108kg, but to no avail. My main struggle is with diet, as I have recognised that I have an emotional relationship with food. My self-image has impacted on all areas of my life. I have 3 beautiful kids and I want to be productive, an active fun dad, and to feel like an athlete again. My 16 week goals are to:
– develop good, healthy eating habits
– be the strongest and fittest I have ever been (I want to be able to do 20 pull ups without rest!)
– lose 17kg
– achieve a body fat % of 12% (currently 28-30%)

Your support would be invaluable. To be selected would feel like I was getting my life back.

Vincent

I did my first triathlon this summer (a Try a Tri mini distance) and loved it. Now I’m training for a longer distance in the autumn. Sprint distance probably, as well as my first half marathon in November.
Any help, advice would be gratefully received :-)

I was doing jazzercise 3 times a week and the instructor quit. I have been trying to figure out what I need to do to replace that. I walk, bike, and sometimes to an exercise DVD. I try to eat gluten free as much as possible. I have still managed to gain 5 pounds that I would like to take off and keep off.

Gain 15 lbs. of muscle!

I am 41yo, wgt 159lbs, hgt 5’10”. I lift weights 3 days a week and run or swim 2-3 times a week. Despite this regimen, I have alot of difficulty building muscle. Much of it has to do with diet, I think. I try to eat healthy but with my schedule (I am a physician), trying to fit in the meals is difficult. I would like to put on about 8-10lbs of muscle and loose some fat around the middle so I could actually see my abs (not just a vague outline).

My goal over the next 16 weeks is the same as it’s been my entire life: gain 20 lbs of lean muscle mass. I’m a hard gainer and seems the only way I put weight on is by eating junk food. When I do that, I end up skinny-fat. While I’m lean and pretty strong now, I still don’t seem to get any bigger.
