I have never been too big on setting goals, but I think that I am ready to make some sigtnificant changes. I am old (70) morbidly obese (325), and am relatively in active. I have been losing a little weight by just watching my portion sizes, but I need to do a lot more. Therefore, I will continue to watch portions, cut down on low quality carbs, and increase fruits and vegetahles to lose some more weight (I’d like to lose 80 lbs in 16 weeks). I will also increase my exercises to three to five times per week using the weight machines at the gym to build up more muscles and boost my metabolism. Well see what I can do!
At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post. All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.
Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?
What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?
I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.
Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them. Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”
Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.
(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

In 2007 I weighed 105 lbs and was very strong. At 5 ft tall that is good for me. Today I weigh about 170 lbs and feel humiliated and stuck under who knows how much fat. I would like to lose 55 lbs and feel strong, healthy, and clean. In the next four months I want to find an effective way to exercise with only my body weight, eat protein, veggies and some fruit only, drink lots of water and stretch.
65 next month, feeling happier, healthier, and stronger than ever. I no longer am concerned with looks or weight loss, just want to continue feeling as good and being as active as I am now.
I would like to lose 10-15lbs, firm up and gain some muscle!
I would imagine during 16weeks of attentive work, fat/excess weight loss of 10kg, and muscling up 5-6 kg would do my strength and health a great turnaround. Lose 5cm off waistline. get my Arms Back!!! Gotta reveal my abs.
All this to improve flexibility, strength, tone and overall WELLNESS!!!!
wheew!
…well here goes Achievement Objectives :)

My goal is to lose 12kg (+/- 30lbs) in the next 16 weeks. It is our winter now, and I realize it will take real commitment to eat correctly and be on my bike daily during this period, but I want to be a HAPPIER me this summer. I retired 3 years ago and found real relaxing a very enjoyable thing … only I now – I don’t like this extra weight around my stomach. It is time to make things right!
To eas healthier by following Chris Johnson’s On Target Living Nutrition guide. To lose 20 lbs (again), and maintain my ‘new’ healthy life-style going forward. Bring my pH to a healthy alkaline/acid level.
My goal is to get better muscle definition. I think people focus too much on the whole loosing weight goal. Isn’t it better to concentrate on decreasing (or increasing) size as a goal? I only say this as when I left Uni I really hit the gym, my weight actually went up 3lbs but my fat % fell 7% and I lost 2 inches from my waist. Ironically if you believe all the modern diet plans of calorie restrictions I was probably consuming more calories a day than at any point previous.
I want to lose weight soooo bad and gaining a little muscle along the way aint so bad either. I want to QUIT giving in to my hunger pangs and have more will power and eat healthier foods and exercise!! I need more energy and enthisiasm to follow through this very hard commitment! HELP!!
I need to lose 25 pounds to get me in around 180 pounds. I am an avid cyclist and ride every day to work in the spring/summer season about 14km every day. I just finished a 100 mile bike ride Saturday June 16 but can’t eat right enough to lose anything. I have tried some of the pyramid protein shakes, meal replacement things but the gut is still there. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. I am getting tired of reading controversial stuff on what is suppose to work and just need a solution plan. 16 week goal here we come.
I would like to lose around 10 pounds and get a super flat stomach!

In 16 weeks I will have lost 7-10 pounds (am currently around 125 lbs.), and will be sporting a toned and firm belly. The amount of weight I am able to lift will have increased. I will begin and end every day with a centering, and start my days with a glass of water a handful of bee pollen, then maca powder mixed into a little hemp milk, followed by an energy drink from my Vitamix. And, by mid-October 2012, I will have a solid base of clientele in my new coaching business, working with folks to promote a healthy, balanced, Happy life!!
Gain muscle and lose fat. I want to increase my good health numbers and reduce the bad ones significantly. I want to be healthier and more energetic. I want to lose at least 35 pounds.
My goal is to wiegh less than 185lbs. below 20% body fat before 16wks
I want to remove all my belly fat, gain 14″ arm, boxed chest and develop huge quads
My goal is to lose 20 lbs in the next 16 weeks by excercising and eating better.
Me. (Male)
Target 28lbs weight loss or body reshape belly.
Increase metabolic rate by increasing muscle groups ahead of the rugby season.
My Partner (Female.)
Target to loose 14lbs, prior to an non weight related operation, as will be immobile after the op for a while so planning to stay consistent rather than put on weight during the recovery period.
I’m aiming for defined abs, a 28″ waist, strong shoulders, muscular arms & thighs and to be able to finally do a chin up, hand stand and a cart wheel. For the next 16 weeks, I’m following a nutrition program which involves 5-6 hour breaks between meals to give the triglycerides time to get out of the bloodstream rather than feeling like they’re in a traffic jam from (my previous disastrous habit of) continuous snacking.
In 16 weeks I will loose 45 lbs and feel energetic, have a stronger upper body, core and overall more strength and stamina, be a better rock climber and no longer be the heavier climber.
Being a member of the military, they are very strict on heighth, and weight requirements. Two times a year we are physically evaluated. The last 8 years i have had to be taped, because i didn`t meet standards. This November i get checked again, and i don`t want to be taped. I am currently 193, and need to get to 178 according to Navy BMI charts. Wish me luck.
In 16 weeks it will be nearly summer and the countdown to my next holiday, atwhich I will be wearing a bikini. I am already muscular I just need to lose the layer of fat covering everything. I am currently 26% body fat I will be around 18% and leaning up more. I will be able to see my flat stomach, toned arms and legs and everything that currently lies beneath. I will continue to eat well and even do better where I can and continue to work with my naturopath to iron out the things that are out of balance in my body. I will also have improved my posture which is crap from sitting at a desk all day!
