Chocolate Peanut Butter Fat Loss Goodness:)

Posted by Joel Marion

Do you like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups?

ME TOO =)

And even better, you can still have that chocolate peanut-buttery goodness every single day while shedding fat like crazy – just requires capturing the essense of Reese’s in a delicious, fat-burning dessert-esque milkshake.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Fat Loss Milkshake

Ingredients:

1 Scoop Prograde Protein (Chocolate)
2 Tablespoons All Natural Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
1 Cup Organic Skim Milk
3 Ice Cubes

Directions:

Pour 1 cup of organic skim milk in to a blender, then add the remaining ingredients.  Blend on high for 30 seconds.  Enjoy :)

This bad boy tastes like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup milkshake!  Mmmmmmm.  Enjoy it as a convenient snack or meal replacement anytime – pure goodness.

15% Coupon Code for Prograde Protein! – Use Code Pro15 (Expires Monday)

One reason I love Prograde Protein is because it’s the only stevia sweetened, delicious, cold-processed protein powder I’m aware of.  Oops, that’s 3 reasons :)

Most protein powders are denatured and damaged due to high heat processing, but Prograde Protein uses a low-temperature filtration process that protects the protein as it’s purified.  It’s also naturally sweetened with stevia, which is extremely hard to find when it comes protein powders.  Oh, and it tastes great (which in reality is probably the most important factor).

Uber quality; uber yumminess :)

Grab your Chocolate Prograde Protein at 15% OFF and give this a shot sometime this week!  Or drink it every day like I do :)

Be sure to use the code Pro15 at checkout to save 15% – coupon expires Monday!

Keep rockin’!

Joel

Hey Joel, thanks a million for this super cool recipe – cannot wait to try it out! Just one question… I’m living in the UAE and Prograde is not available here :( any way/suggestions on how to get it? Any plans on having Prograde available to those outside of the States soon? Cheers!

Hi, Joel. I just wanted to say about cow’s milk. Everybody act like they don’t know this inconvenient truth. But cow’s milk prevents any antioxidants from absorption and doing their job. So if you add milk in tea, or put berries over yogurt, do not dream that you are eating antioxidants too. Now, some things vegans and dr Mcdugall’s-alikes say about cow’s milk may be controversial. But this fact was proved by studies. It was on Yahoo. Just disappeared like any other news. I cringe every time you suggest adding milk to the healthy stuff.
So, are you going to continue avoiding this fact, like most people? Just search the web to confirm…

If you only have vanilla protein powder…
I make this all the time with vanilla prograde protein and sprinkle in a little cocoa powder. It tastes just like Reeses Peanut Butter Puffs Cereal. Mmmm

Great recipe I can’t wait to try it out. I just purchased your book The Cheat to Lose Diet to help my wife lose those stubborn pounds she couldn’t through a popular weight loss program(WW) I was wondering, do you have any info that would help me increase muscle mass but not gain as much bodyfat. I am not looking for free advice just any products you might have that might help.

Hey Joel

I used to use Prograde protein but have recently switched to Jay Robb Whey protein. What are your thoughts on Jay Robb protein?

It’s all whey isolate instead of isolate/concentrate blend and is also sourced from farm-raised, pasture-grazed, grass-fed cows.

Hi!
The recipe sounds very delicious, got to give it a try. Oh, and I’m actually aware of one other tevia sweetened, delicious, cold-processed protein powder, SunWarrior Protein. It’s made of brown rice, and I’ve been using it because I’m allergic to milk. So I’d love to know your take on rice protein as an substitute for whey.

I add half of a banana and call mine a Funky Monkey.

Never knew this fact about cow’s mil interfering with antioxidant absorbtion. What do you know about this?

@ Sveta:

Hi Sveta, have never heard of this, but would like to see your research. If it exists, it likely does not apply to organic milk.

All the best,

Joel

Mmm, sounds delish. Can milk be used in shakes on XFLD? I didn’t think it was an acceptable source of food on those days because it has calories in it (I would use organic skim milk)
Thanks for the recipe!

I always enjoy reading your articles, but I have a concern about Prograde Protein because it contains soy. Because of health concerns, I do not consume anything that has soy in it. I was using a very good whey product that I enjoyed very much, but had to change to another product when they reformulated their whey protein product to contain soy. I wrote them to inform them of my change and the reason why.

This is a reason that whatever product that I purchase, I read the labels, since you never know when it could change. Also, if you read labels, you will be surprised to see that there are a lot of products that contain soy.

When Prograde starts to produce a Protein Product without soy, I will consider purchasing it.

Your thoughts on soy?

Prograde Protein does not contain soy protein; it contains trace amounts of soy lecithin, which is derived from soybean oil, not the protein. It has none of the negative attributes that soy protein possesses, and again it’s just a trace ingredient.

The protein source of Prograde Protein is ion-exchange cold process whey protein isolate.

Soy protein sucks and I’d never promote anything that contained it (and Prograde wouldn’t produce anything that contained it).

All the best,

Joel

Thanks for the recipe!

You can use it in your P+C shakes, yes. :)

I’d highly recommend the 21 Day Fast Mass program for this goal. Check it out here:

So would this be considered a P+F even thought it has carbs? I had this on my shake day in the PM. It was incredible!

It’s best consumed earlier in the day because of the milk which has a high insulin index, but every so often is OK in the PM. The carb content is pretty low (less than 20 grams).

That said, you could also do this with water instead of milk later in the day and it will be well under 10 grams.

Enjoy :)

@ Sveta:

I believe that Sveta is referring to this article, which references blueberries:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19135520

Or possibly this article about tea:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11264903

In short, blueberry active components were not absorbed well with milk, but the addition of milk to tea does not block the absorption of phenols.
