Very interesting question...it's now been about 10 months since I started my "new" lifestyle - eating better and getting into the gym - overall health improvement. I've lost about 35 lbs., and when a friend commented on how much weight I have lost, before I could respond my wife jumped in and said "you should see him with his shirt off, he looks like Beckham from the neck down!".

Ever since that unsolicited, gratuitous complement, I have been much more "free" about taking my shirt off, in and around the house while doing chores, at the beach, or while outside doing a workout in the sun. When talking to people, I actually notice them glancing at my mid-section!

The key here is that it is truly a lifestyle change...at 44 years old, one has to accept that if you don't adopt some kind of "healthy" lifestyle, there's a significantly increased risk of longer term health problems. The CYWT program is fantastic as it really lends itself to long term acceptance and a healthy lifestyle - one truly is "free" with this program.

Thanks Joel!

Hey Dopehead, quit the stuip drugs and you will understand better what Freedom is! What, if anything have you contributed to this FREE Nation to at least maintain the liberties you enjoy today? - I bet nothing - lip locking a bong will never count and it's illegal so that we don't end up with more like you!@Matters -

Hi Joel,

i bought your program but have not used it yet, im a PT and a little bit skeptical about eating all any junk food.

what are your thoughts on the Paleo diet and that we aren't evolved to eat the cr*p the food industry has produced over the past 50 years? i know i get fat on carbs and get lean on paleo diet - yes its somewhat restrictive but i truly believe the scince behind it and think we are generally greedy as people.

not having any negative jibe at you, i love this blog and love contributing, i am just interested in what you think about Paleo vs CYWT for long term health

Thanks

Great post, Joel.

I wonder how many people on the beach today really felt comfortable with their bodies, or their lives. I wonder...would they be willing to give up the shackles of traditional dieting for the freedom to eat cheesesteaks? I submit that they would do so.

Spread the word, brother.

PS - just finished my 9th hamburger of the day. I was going to make it 12 but I called an audible at the last moment and had 3 hot dogs instead. I'm sure you're beating me in terms of quantity, but not in quality. New York hot dogs reign supreme.

Happy 4th.

WHOA!!!! dude.....that really had nothing to do with joel's post....and the way i see it...your freedom ends when it interferes with other individuals' freedom....so when u get stoned and decide to go and drive a car for example...you are risking your life and other people's lives in the process....dude...relax...take it easy... i really think joel's blog makes a lot of sence...but thats just me....btw i really understand where you're going with this...just not sure i agree with u!

First lets define freedom. For fredom to exist, the WILL of the individual must be sovereign. So let me ask you this, would you be legally allowed to take a hand full of cylocybin mushrooms, or a large bong hit, if you so desired? I'm not asking if you want to get high, or if it would be a good idea to get stoned, but if you desire to, could you do so, legally? The answer is NO. And why not? What do shrooms or weed affect?? They affect the mind and how one processes their thoughts. So when the Govt. says that you cannot do drugs the implication is that they are in control of the kind of things that can go on in your mind.

America is NOT the home of the free...

Happy independence day! Try not to get arrested

My post really had nothing to do with that type of freedom...

It took the Cheat you way Thin program to actually make me realise how much fat I have been carrying around for the last few years. I've lost 18lb of fat in the last 9 weeks thanks to this program. I'm sure I've put on a few lb of musle as well, so in truth without getting into th nitty gritty of math, I've probably lost more than 18lb. Once I'd done the first few weeks, I made a choice to throw out all the paperwork etc and just live from what I had learned...habit I suppose and I have never looked back.

I have bought most programs out there, but I'm not prepared to live my life without a beer or pizza, we're only here once right :) SO this makes the best of all worlds, my abs are just beginning to show..and I ate a full Dominos pizza a few days ago...so shoot me :)

Cheers Joel, great post...keep up the good work.
